Definitions are contested. Timelines are guesses. Announcements arrive faster than the evidence behind them, and the loudest voices are frequently the ones with the most to gain from a particular answer. None of that makes the subject unimportant. It makes it harder to follow honestly, which is the job this site takes on.

Every page here separates what has been demonstrated from what has been asserted, and says which is which. Where researchers disagree we report the disagreement rather than picking the more interesting side. Where the honest answer is that nobody knows, that is the sentence we write.

We do not forecast. There are no arrival dates on this site, no probability estimates dressed up as findings, and no scenarios presented as expectations.
